One person, one chat window, one task. Someone works out the right prompt for the weekly report, gets a good answer, and moves on.

It works. But that prompt now lives in their chat history, and everyone else starts from zero.

A workspace agent is a shared agent you build inside your ChatGPT workspace. Write the process into it once, connect the tools it needs, decide what it can do on its own, and publish it to your team.

Nobody has to remember the prompt, because the prompt is the agent. It can also run on a schedule, so the work stops waiting for someone to start it.

Someone writes the team update every Friday: open the project tracker, read back through the week's notes, work out what changed, assemble it. With an agent you set it up once.

"Every Friday, prepare a draft team update from the project tracker and this week's meeting notes. Group it into progress, blockers, decisions needed, and next week's priorities. Link the source for every claim. Flag anything missing or contradictory instead of guessing."

Friday morning the draft is waiting. Someone still reads it before it goes out.
