One solution that's getting a lot of attention is what Claude calls Skills.
What a Skill actually is
A Skill is a reusable set of instructions you write once, and Claude applies automatically whenever it's relevant. You don't have to invoke it manually. Claude reads your request, recognizes that a Skill fits, and loads it on its own.
There are three types: built-in Skills from Anthropic, Skills from partners like Notion or Figma, and Custom Skills that you or your team build for your own workflows. The last type is where most of the value lives for business teams.
Why this matters for teams
The real payoff isn't just convenience. A Skill standardizes the process, so a junior team member gets the same quality as your most experienced person. New hires don't need to learn how your team uses AI. The knowledge is already in the system.
One concrete example: brand voice. Every person who writes anything client-facing needs to sound like the same company. With a Brand Voice Skill uploaded, Claude applies your guidelines before the first draft exists, without anyone having to ask.
