Last year's Coca-Cola AI ads sparked debate among industry professionals, but regular viewers didn't mind, the ads actually scored highly with consumers. The team still had to generate and refine over 70,000 video clips to get there, so AI isn't exactly push-button magic.

Iceland Partners with Anthropic for National AI Education Pilot

Iceland's Ministry of Education is partnering with Anthropic to provide Claude access to hundreds of teachers nationwide in one of the world's first comprehensive national AI education pilots. Teachers will receive the AI tool along with training materials and support resources for lesson preparation, personalized learning materials, and student support.

The success of this pilot depends entirely on the training and support teachers receive. During COVID, teachers struggled with basic video technology because they were thrown into it without proper guidance.

Just handing out AI tools with some materials isn't enough. Maybe this could be the chance to rethink the entire education system rather than just adding AI on top.

  • Perplexity Patents is a new AI-powered patent research agent that simplifies access to global patent data by understanding natural language queries and delivering comprehensive results beyond keyword matching.
