Here's the standout finding: 70% of people learned AI from YouTube and free resources. Meanwhile, 63% of companies now pay for AI tools. But here's the twist. Even when companies provide the tool, 49% of employees keep using their personal AI accounts too.

This tells us something important. When half your team is paying for their own tools despite having company-approved options, you're looking at a product-market fit problem at the feature level. Either the approved tool doesn't solve what people need, or they don't know how to make it work.
