🧱 Foundational concepts
When talking about Artificial Intelligence we hear a lot about “Machine Learning” or ML.
But what exactly does it do?
Machine learning is like teaching a computer to learn by itself, kinda like how you learn from experience. You show a computer a bunch of examples, and it figures out patterns and rules to make predictions or decisions on its own.
To give you a context ML is like a baby that learns to recognize its parents' faces.
This is important for AI because it allows machines to understand and make predictions about the world around them. It can help with things like speech recognition, image recognition, and even predicting things like weather patterns or financial trends.
🗞️ AI news from the world
We’re seeing a truckload of AI implementations. The race is at full speed and Snapchat is one of these racers.
The company is introducing a chatbot called "My AI" which is powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT. It costs $3.99 a month for Snapchat Plus subscribers, but eventually, it will be available to all of their 750 million monthly users. The bot has been trained to adhere to the company's trust and safety guidelines, and Snapchat plans to keep tuning it.
🔧 AI Tool
The AI tool of this week became viral on TikTok after Mike Shinoda used it to create a rap song with the voice of Notorious B.I.G.
The name’s Uberduck and it’s a free AI bot that can turn your text into any celebrity's voice or character. You can make your dream of talking like your favorite star a reality using its TTS algorithms and generative machine learning models. The app has a ton of famous people, politicians, musicians, and fictional characters to choose from.
That was all for this week. There’s so much stuff going on with AI that we never get bored.
This week’s poll is a little different from the previous one.
