Plus: OpenAI's Agent Builder and Deloitte's AI Hallucination Scandal
Hello AI Enthusiast,
This week at OpenAI's Dev Day, Sam Altman unveiled plans to turn ChatGPT into a full platform with its own app store and tools for building AI agents. Meanwhile, Deloitte announced a partnership with Anthropic the same day they refunded the Australian government for an AI report full of hallucinations. Let's break down what happened.
Before we dive in, on October 22nd at 5 PM CEST, our founder Gianluca teams up with John Vetan from Design Sprint Academy to show you how to move from AI experiments to solutions that scale. They'll cover when to buy versus build and walk through a real use case. For anyone trying to build AI that people actually need.
The Big Picture 🔊
OpenAI Launches Conversational Apps in ChatGPT
OpenAI has introduced apps that integrate directly into ChatGPT conversations. Users can access services like Spotify, Booking.com, and Canva through natural language commands, with interactive interfaces appearing in the chat. The Apps SDK, built on the open Model Context Protocol, lets developers create apps that reach ChatGPT's 800 million users. Apps launched for users outside the EU, with monetization details and an app directory coming later this year.
OpenAI Launches AgentKit for Building AI Agents
OpenAI released AgentKit, a suite of tools for building AI agents. Agent Builder provides a visual canvas for creating workflows with drag-and-drop nodes and versioning. Connector Registry centralizes data management across workspaces. ChatKit lets developers embed chat interfaces into their products. New evaluation tools include datasets, trace grading, and automated prompt optimization.
Want to see what AgentKit actually does? Join our free webinar on October 23rd at 5:30 PM CEST where we'll test OpenAI's Agent Builder live and show you what works versus what's just marketing. We'll build something in real-time so you can see whether it's something you should actually care about.
Deloitte Partners with Anthropic While Refunding AI Hallucination Report
Deloitte announced a partnership with Anthropic to deploy Claude to 500,000 employees globally. The same day, Australia's Department of Employment revealed Deloitte would refund A$439,000 for a report containing AI hallucinations and fake academic citations. The partnership will create compliance products for regulated industries and AI agent "personas" for different departments.
